how radical...what the hell is the point of a "phased" withdrawal? if the objective is to get out, why not just do so all in one fell swoop? admit defeat, spare more young americans dying for what we can all agree is a lost cause, and learn a lesson or two about getting mixed up in conflicts of this sort in the first place (or re-learn those lessons, as the case may be).
